FRL: The Science Behind Superman’s Superpowers

[All you are reading is written by me, and only me. I remind you this is my opinion, if you have another, you can comment it, I would be interested in knowing it. -AComicReader]

Superman, the very first superhero, has been for more than 75 years an iconic symbol in comic and fiction history, and the creation that made us think once if supermen could exist. So if superman did, how would his body and powers work?

Flight, super strenght and super speed

In many times it has been said that the gravity of Krypton is lighter compared to earth’s, and the superman’s flight, super strenght and super speed reason would be that. In Krypton, superman and other kryptonians are pulled down by its (Krypton) strong gravity, and in earth the kryptonians find the earth orbit lighter so they are freer and faster to move as they want.

«FRL (Fiction in Real Life)» – New Section

Fiction is the genre in films, books and T.V. that has been making us asking ourselves of the future of the world; stories like «The Time Machine» by H.G Wells, the superpowers of comic characters like Dr. Manhattan and things like Spider-Man’s natural spiderwebs are things that some of us want to know if they can exist. And if they can, so how would they be?

«Fiction in Real Life» is a new type of blog. I will write in these about stuff of comics, weird superheroes, superpowers or stories, comparing them in real life, and answering to the question «how would they work if they were real?»

First blog, «The Science Behind Superman’s Superpowers», December 30.

See ya, followers. Hope you like the new section.

The Comic Reader is BACK!

Hey, hey, hey! Long time no see, friends. I know I haven’t published anything in like 2 months; I have been that much inactive here. I have had social problems, and, y’know, LIFE. I have lost followers and popularity in the web… But now I am back, here, and safe and sound.I will continue posting here with at least 1 time a week; I have bought more comics, watched more geek content and have more ideas for this. Sorry for all, I’m sorry.

See ya, followers.

No More Series Reviews

These reviews I have been making since the first episode of The Flash have been really interesting. And you like them, I know. But then there will be THREE posts each week, and that’s not bad, but I’ll have no time for doing other kind of posts, so my blog would become a web of DC series reviews; I don’t want that.

These posts will stop. I have been thinking of doing the review of seasons, not chapters. Like «Gotham This Season», and giving my opinion of how the series is going and stuff like that, but these episodes reviews are taking too much of my time.

See ya, followers.

References/Easter Eggs from Gotham Series: Part 2 (Ep. 3-4)

Salvatore Maroni

Other of the crime lords in Gotham. This character was played once by Eric Roberts in Batman: The Dark Knight. I will be fascinated with the confrontation of him with Falcone shown in the show.

Barbara Kean, Ex-Lesbian (or actually bisexual) and Drug Addict

In the last episodes, we could deduce the relationship introduced in the show of Renee and Barbara. While they talk in Barbara apartment, Renee says, «I could sent you to jail for drug deal», is Barbara a drug addict? They kiss at the end, what makes us get to the next point…

Barbara Kean, Batwoman?

When in the series the relationship ended of Renee and Barbara was introduced, I first thought about Barbara being Batwoman, but instead of Maggie Sawyer, Renee Montoya. Are they for real gonna enter this thing of Kate Kane? All we can do is wait for watching what they are planning for us.

Harley Quinn AGAIN

Another Harley appearance? At a scene of Fish bar, a dancer is shown, a blonde! And with the clothes colored red and black! It is actually very exciting this thing about these Easter Eggs in Gotham series.

Egg Head?

Approximately, in chapter 3 at minute 16:40, Gordon and Bullock are talking about the balloonman case with an egg head investigator. This peculiar person acts just like this Batman villain. Easter Egg for Egg Head?

DC Entertainment Films Cast

Marvel Studios has been making films and movies, and has created one of the most incredible Cinematic Universe in the history. We can say Marvel is now the father of DC if we talk about movies, but DC is starting to compete with them with their next productions, and that is exciting, because the fans of DC haven’t seen enough films based on their characters.

Here they are, the cast of DC coming productions:

  • Batman – Ben Affleck
  • Superman – Henry Cavill
  • Wonder Woman – Gal Gadot
  • Shazam – Dwayne Jhonson
  • Cyborg – Ray Fisher
  • Flash – Ezra Miller
  • Aquaman – Jason Momoa
  • Lois Lane – Amy Adams

Green Lantern, Suicide Squad members and others are unknown.

Gotham: Fourth Episode – Review (Spoilers)

FAST SUMMARY

Cobblepot visits Gordon, and tries to make him believe of a coming war, saying Gordon can trust him. Richard Gladwell, a hitman, is killing politicians by using a device that seems to be a telescope, but throws a steel spike from the inside. Gordon finds out the plans of Martha and Thomas Wayne of Arkham Asylum and visits Bruce Wayne; Maroni and Falcone are backing the project. Gordon and Bullock are investigating the case of the hitman and find out the letters C, L, M in a paper at the desk of Richar Gladwell, James asks for the names of the officers who were sent to protect the mayor and discover who is the next Richard’s victim: Aubrey James, the Mayor of Gotham City. James and Barbara talk about a confidence relationship. Oswald kills three robbers with a poisoned canoli.

OPINION

Better episode than previous in my opinion, because it is showing more problems in the live of James (the work, Barbara saying she doesn’t want more lies, Oswald, the promise to Bruce) and how he plans to get rid of them. Oswald is more BADASS, with his dark past he is trying to help James, doing it against Fish and Falcone. The ascending of Mr Cobblepot, reaching high places, oh god. Gotham has been losing viewers but with this, it increased +30.000 spectors, and getting more exciting.

Gotham: Third Episode – Review (Spoilers)

[All you are reading is written by me, and only me. I remind you this is my opinion, if you have another, you can comment it, I would be interested in knowing it. -AComicReader]

FAST SUMMARY

The episode begins as the previous one finished, with the Penguin back; Oswald is in the streets of Gotham starting a new live, introducing in crime. We see another story, «The Balloonman», in which a criminal is tying corrupt politicians to big balloons and leting them go to the sky (Seriously, not a joke).  Bullock tries to make James believe what the Balloonman did was a good action, but James is as straight as always, saying it is a crime, and it needs to be punished.

Selina helps Gordon to find the Waynes Killer. Montoya and Allen detectives investigate the disappeared Oswald, they visit Fish Mooney, who says about Gordon pulling the trigger. Alfred and Bruce have a sword fight, showing their frienship becoming bigger. Alfred finds information of the Waynes crime and Bruce tells him that he wants them for looking for clues of the killer. Detectives Montoya and Allen meet Gordon for clues at the disappearance of Oswald.

Bla, bla, bla…

Mr Cobblepot gets a job at a restaurant. James and Bullock investigate the Balloon man case, they find a suspect. Barbara Kean finds out Montoya in her house, they talk about hoe Gordon is not convenient for Barbara, and about their previous love, Barbara and Montoya were girldfriends?

James, with the help of Bullock, arrests the Balloonman, involving more and more into Gotham, watching its true dark side. Gordon has a little visit by Oswald.

OPINION

This episode wasn’t as good as the previous two, I think changing the writer and the director was a bad idea, I miss Bruno and Danny. In this new episode we see how the friendship between Bruce and Alfred is stronger than ever, and PENGUIN IS BACK, the visit of Oswald to James, was like, OH MY GOD. Nor bad production, nor that good chapter either, it was normal.
